BREWSTER - The Brewster School Board has voted not to seek a state grant for a school-based health clinic after hearing objections that birth control and condoms might be offered to students in the north-central Washington district.
Superintendent Aaron Chavez told The Wenatchee World that the district is not ready for the center at this time, but might reconsider in the future.
Chavez says a large number of residents showed up Monday to discuss the proposal before the board decided not to seek the $75,000 Department of Health grant. School officials say the clinic would have focused on general health issues

Jeffrey R. Galgano, Michael Geller and Martin Grusin have joined the board at IPtimize, adding to the business expertise already brought to the IPtimize board by Ron Pitcock, Bob McGraw, Stan McGinnis, and Paul Maxwell.
