YPIowa Conference Planner at annethomas

Constance Volz resigned as NAWBO Denver s president via an e-mail sent Sunday to several dozen people affiliated with the group and made available to the Denver Business Journal.
In her e-mail, Volz said the chapter has lost several of our sponsors due to hard economic times and budget restraints.
She said that at a Sept. 17 NAWBO board meeting to discuss the financial health of the organization and the direction of change that would be necessary, some board members supported a form of merger or some kind of entity with the Colorado Women s Chamber of Commerce (CWCC).
I strongly opposed this recommendation, Volz s e-mail said.
She said that at a subsequent meeting with the NAWBO board on Sept. 23, several board members continued to express their discontent with the organization as a whole, finding no value, and felt we strongly needed to move the organization under the CWCC umbrella to help support our economic shortfalls and resources.
Volz who also is president of Premiere Parking LLC in Denver couldn t be reached Monday
