Covered headboards
Horton's continuing plaint through the story is 'After all, a person's a person, no matter how small!' So it is with Ada Regional United Way's effort to raise money for area non-profit organizations that work diligently to improve lives 'by coordinating and promoting the caring power in the community,' as United Way literature correctly says. This is a strictly local effort in which 99 percent of money raised goes directly to local organizations whose only goal is to help others. You probably know many, if not all, of Ada Regional United Way board members. They are your friends and neighbors. They are Mike Anderson, Bob Bennett, Kate Bolitho, Barry Burkhart, Teresa Burrows, Brigette Jones, Lucas Clark, Linda Cooper, Jenny Cypert, Chris Feiler, Kevin Flowers, Lori Easley, Bob Hobson, Marianne McFarlin, Mark Morgan, Bill Nelson, David Nimmo, Toby Perkins, Butch Platt, Tommye Rafes, Tommy Vass, Tonie Waller, Jayma Warrne, Rob Webb and Frank Williams. The needs are sometimes not apparent in our community because often they are represented by silent screams heard only by the most sensitive ears. The question is - can you hear them? After all, a person's a person no matter how small. Give to the United Way this year
